About Us
Eirik Olsen, Founder and President of Feed Washington, is an attorney, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Eirik grew up in Ballard and currently resides in Sammamish.
Feed Washington is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization that was founded by Eirik in 2003 with the goal of eradicating childhood hunger in Washington State. Eirik was inspired to start Feed Washington after volunteering as a board member for the North Seattle Boys and Girls Club and hearing story after story of Club members who were going hungry on a daily basis.
In Eirik's words: "Before we can expect children to do well at school, at home, with friends, or at the Boys and Girls Club, they must be properly fed. Since children don't have the ability to meet their basic needs, we, the non-hungry adults of Washington State, must help them until they can. I hope you will join me and Feed Washington's incredible donors in putting an end to childhood hunger."
